Blue Shift Coop v2.0 Beta released
Blue Shift Coop v2.0 Beta is now available for download at the 'Download' section. I said somewhere at the [HLCoop] forum that it would be released before the year 2010, so I hope you don't track me down and kill me for being a liar :-)

This is only a beta version, so if you encounter any bugs or problems, please report it to me at mickem_@hotmail.com and I will fix it in the stable version if I'm able to.

Blue Shift Coop v2.0 supports max 6 players. If you and your teammates wants to be unable to hurt each other, be in the same team. You do this by having the same models as your teammates.

V2.0 Progress
Blue Shift Coop v2.0 haven't been in work for about 2 mounths. However, I wanted to post some news about the reason why I haven't worked and what's done so far.

I'm currently done with about 70% of the whole conversion. This means that I'm done with the first 3 chapters (Insecurity, Duty Calls and Captive Freight) plus the hazard course. The reason why I haven't worked on the mod for so long is simple; lack of time. I'm not really sure when I got time again to continue the work but I estimate it'll be in a few weeks.

Blue Shift Coop v2.0
After the success of Opposing Force Coop v2.0, I've decided to make a new version of Blue Shift Coop since v1.0 is almost unplayable. Blue Shift Coop v2.0 will require that you install Blue Shift: Unlocked which you can find at the Half-Life Improvement Team homepage. By the time I released Blue Shift Coop v1.0, I didn't know about the great possibilites of this mod.

Blue Shift was originally intended to be on Dreamcast, thus using another .bsp format than Half-Life uses. Although the Dreamcast port was later cancelled, but they kept the .bsp files the way they were, which means that the maps are unable to ripent. Blue Shift: Unlocked allows owners of Half-Life and Blue Shift to convert their Blue Shift installation into a Half-Life mod, which means that the map files will be the same .bsp format as the Half-Life maps. Yes, this means that the maps will be able to ripent with Blue Shift: Unlocked. Plus, all bugs that were in v1.0 will be gone as Blue Shift: Unlocked treats Blue Shift as a Half-Life mod.

I'm already done with about 40% of the progress. All hazard course maps will be included in v2.0, but the tram maps however will not, since they are pretty unnecessary for coop.

Addons released
The Opposing Force Coop addons "Bootleg Squadrog" and "Nuclear Winter" is now released. Big thanks to the authors for giving me permission to convert their Opposing Force mods to Opposing Force Coop. Here's some description about the mods for those who don't know:

Bootleg Squadrog
"Brendon Chung" was disappointed with the lack of teamwork in the Opposing Force single-player mode, and developed Bootleg Squadrog for the purpose of co-operating with Opposing Force's npc soldiers. However, it's now available for even more teamwork, as up to 5 players can finish this Opposing Force mod co-operative.

Nuclear Winter
Nuclear Winter is a single player mission for Half-Life Opposing Force, which story takes place at North America year 2017 A.D. Enjoy the new maps, scripted scenes, models, artwork, character voices, sound effects and music with 8-9 other players.

Please note that you will need to have "Opposing Force Coop v2.0" installed before you install any of these addons. Grab the missions at the downloads page!

Fixes:
- Shortcuts in start menu should now start server without any error messages
- Sv_lan 0 is changed to sv_lan 1, which means changed from internet to LAN server.

Addons delayed
Saturday last week, I got unexpected information that my cousin had passed away, so I was simply not in any mood at all to finish "Bootleg Squadrog" and "Nuclear Winter" coop. They also seemed to have more bugs left then I was aware of, so I must unluckily delay the release date. Currently I aim to release it friday next week instead, but that's just an estimation.

Opposing Force Coop v2.0 Released
I made the installer much faster then I expected, and I think it's just pointless to let everybody wait more for this to get released, so I'm releasing this earlier then decided. Head over to the downloads page and get it, right now!
